New Delhi (Vishvas News). Voting in Bihar will be held in two phases on Meanwhile, several fake and misleading claims are going viral on social media. In this series, a video of actor Sonu Sood is going viral rapidly, in which Sonu Sood can allegedly be seen supporting Khesari Lal Yadav, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate from Saran (Chhapra) for the Bihar elections. Many users are sharing this video, believing it to be true.
Vishvas News investigated and found this video to be a deepfake video. The viral video has been created using AI-generated audio. In the original video, Sonu Sood is reciting some different lines.
What is going viral?
Facebook user ‘Mohan Yadav’ shared the viral video on October 29, 2025, with the caption, “Sonu Sood comes in support of Khesari Lal Yadav.”
Many users on social media have shared this video. See the archive link of the post here.
Investigation
To investigate the viral video, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. We did not find any media reports confirming the claim.
Proceeding with the investigation, we carefully watched the video. In the viral video, the lip-sync is not correct. There is no coherence between the video and the audio, which made us suspect that this video is not genuine.
We searched Sonu Sood’s official social media handles regarding the video. We found the video on Sonu Sood’s Facebook account. In the video shared on October 25, 2025, Sonu Sood is heard saying: “Someone said a great thing that if you have more than you need, don’t build bigger walls, build a bigger table so that more and more people can eat with you. Because sharing increases love and sharing decreases sorrow. This world will change if we hold hands, you and me. Therefore, when you have more than you need, try sharing it, try sharing great happiness with someone. Then see how this world changes. Everything else is an illusion. This world runs only on love.”
Sonu Sood also shared the video on his X handle and Instagram account.
Further in the investigation, we searched the video using an AI detection tool. We uploaded the video to Aurigin.ai. The tool indicated a 100% probability of the audio being AI-generated.
Hiya indicated a 99% probability of the audio being AI-generated.
For confirmation, we contacted our partner Deepfakes Analysis Unit (DAU), an initiative of the Trusted Information Alliance (TIA). The expert team at DAU analysed the video. An inspection with the Hive AI Deepfake Detector tool found signs of AI manipulation in the video track.
Finally, we scanned the Facebook user who shared the video and found that the user has 12000 followers and described himself as a resident of Begusarai.
Conclusion: Vishvas News found in its investigation that the viral video claiming actor Sonu Sood is supporting Khesari Lal Yadav for the Bihar elections is fake. In the original video, Sonu Sood is reciting some other lines, which have been edited and are being shared with a false claim.
