  • The inexperienced players in the Wales team have a golden opportunity to end their six Test losing run against Georgia in Saturday's Autumn Nations Cup clash and put their hand up for selection for the England game the following week said captain Justin Tipuric. Several of the older hands in the Wales side have "not hit their straps yet" according to under pressure head coach Wayne Pivac with last Friday's 32-9 humbling by Ireland the most recent example. Although he did not name names many of those who propelled Wales to the Six Nations Grand Slam last year and the World Cup semi-finals have found the change of coach from Warren Gatland to Pivac a difficult transition. Pivac always said he would make sweeping changes against the weakest side in the pool -- only two players remain from the team that started against the Irish -- and has handed three players their Test debut. Johnny Williams, Kieran Hardy and James Botham -- grandson of England cricketing great Ian Botham -- are the three debutants whilst several players with a limited number of caps will also feature. Tipuric is at the other end of the caps scale to the newbies as the 31-year-old backrow forward will win his 79th for his country since he made his debut in 2011. "It is an opportunity and boys know if they put their hands up -- individually or as a team -- it puts questions in the coach's head," Tipuric said. "No one likes losing and it's tough when you do. "We have an opportunity on the weekend, where there are some fresh new faces who can put their hands up for that England game but the main thing is to get that win." Tipuric says the injection of fresh talent and youthful exuberance has been a plus. "In training you see boys get excited and there is a lot of energy," he said. "They are running around a lot but the more they learn and the more experienced they are it is putting that together and becoming as a team. "Some of the training this week has been excellent and there has been a buzz and it is probably about keeping them calm and doing it in the right situations." pi/dmc/bsp
