No, that's not true: This photo was digitally altered to change the message on the signs. The original, unedited version of the photo was first published in November 2020 with signs that read "You're Fired" and "Biden Harris." A version of the claim appeared in a post on X on March 6, 2024, (archived here) with the caption: White, middle-aged, liberal women will be the death of this country. Here is how the post appeared at the time of writing: (Source: X screenshot taken Tue Aug 27 04:55:00 2024 UTC) The photo was digitally altered to change the message on both signs. The original, unedited version was first published in November 2020 with signs that read "You're Fired" and "Biden Harris." A reverse image search (archived here) revealed that the photo was published by ABC's San Francisco station KGO-TV on November 7, 2020. The article was titled, "PHOTOS: Bay Area celebrates Joe Biden, Kamala Harris' 2020 presidential win" (archived here). The photo, seen on slide three, included a caption that read: PHOTOS: Bay Area celebrates Joe Biden, Kamala Harris' 2020 presidential win Supporters holding 'You're Fired' signs at Dolores Park in San Francisco on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020. Here is how the article appeared at the time of writing: (Source: ABC7 screenshot taken Tue Aug 27 16:25:44 2024 UTC) The photo above was credited to "Reggie Aqui / ABC7 Twitter," whose profile (archived here) identifies him as an "ABC7 Bay Area Anchor." Lead Stories found the original image was also posted to his X account on November 7, 2020, (archived here) with a caption that read, "Dolores Park."
