Winger Jesper Karlsson and defenders Mattias Johansson and Niklas Hult were also called up. The six will be kept apart from the team and will practice separately. The team's Euro basecamp is in Gothenburg on Sweden's west coast. The Swedish FA said it would decide at the last minute whether add any of the six to their official 26-man squad, and would submit its final list to UEFA on Sunday at midnight. If any of the reserve players were to be called up, they would however not be available for Sweden's first match against Spain in Seville on Monday. Euro rules stipulate that a match must go ahead as long as a team has at least 13 eligible players, including a goalkeeper. New PCR tests on the Swedish players and coaches all came back negative on Thursday, apart from the two cases previously confirmed, a team spokesman said. The team reinforced its Covid measures after the two cases emerged. Unlike other teams, most of Sweden's players are not vaccinated yet, as the country has chosen to give the jab to people in descending age categories.
