Sharing the viral clip, a Facebook user wrote, “Today for the first time Yamuna ji's Aarti was seen in Delhi. The hope is that Delhiites will get to see Yamuna ji's Aarti meaning now. Delhi will soon become Indraprastha.” The video was also widely shared by many YouTube channels.
India Today Fact Check found that viral claims are misleading. This video shows Yamuna Aarti at the Vasudev Ghat in Delhi’s Civil Lines area, where it has been regularly offered since March 2024.

In several videos and news reports, we found visuals of Yamuna Aarti at the Vasudev Ghat. A comparison with the viral clip can be seen below.
According to news reports, the Vasudev Ghat was constructed by the Delhi Development Authority under the initiative of Vinai Kumar Saxena, the Lieutenant Governor of the capital. The Vasudev Ghat was inaugurated on March 12, 2024. News reports also mentioned that the first Yamuna Aarti was performed in 2015 by the then-Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
