Fact Check
Is the claim made in the video correct?
It does not seem so. The Facebook post, as well as the website, named Conlineteam.com, it directs to, appears to be false or misleading. Our research started by attempting to identify the doctor mentioned in the video claim. Through our research, we found a YouTube channel that belongs to Dr. Mehmet Oz, confirming that the photo displayed in the claimed Facebook post pertains to him.
However, no evidence shows that this doctor is promoting NuFarm CBD Gummies.
After conducting a reverse image search on Google, we uncovered articles detailing a fraudulent scheme involving the unauthorized use of Dr. Oz’s name and likeness to promote CBD gummies. This deceptive tactic involves the creation of fake endorsements and promoting fabricated videos and magazine covers, all aimed at misleading consumers into believing that Dr. Oz supports a product called Dr. Oz CBD Gummies. These scammers falsely claim that Dr. Oz endorses these gummies for treating various ailments such as pain, anxiety, and sleep problems, among others.
It seems that Dr. Oz has never given his endorsement or approval to any CBD gummy product, especially not the one exploiting his reputation in this misleading manner. These scammers are leveraging Dr. Oz’s fame to sell their products. THIP MEDIA has previously found and debunked a claim that says a new drug can cure Diabetes by again referring to Dr. Oz.
Besides this, the claimed Facebook post falsely recommends that eating gummies would cure prostate cancer permanently.
What are NuFarm CBD Gummies?
There is no official way to figure out what NuFarm CBD Gummies are. The official website Nufarmgummies.com does not open.
However, a review article published on Mid-day.com website informs that NuFarm CBD Gummies are a type of edible supplement that is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant. They are essentially gummy candies infused with CBD and marketed for potential health benefits.
What causes prostate cancer?
Prostate cancer is a serious medical condition that requires proper diagnosis and treatment by a qualified medical professional. Early detection and appropriate treatment are crucial for successful outcomes. Please note that delaying or avoiding professional medical care can lead to the cancer progressing and becoming more difficult to treat. Besides this, some home remedies or alternative treatments can interact with or interfere with standard medical treatments, potentially causing harmful side effects.
Can you cure prostate cancer at home?
No, you cannot cure prostate cancer at home. There is no proven home remedy or alternative treatment that can effectively cure prostate cancer. Trying to treat prostate cancer yourself at home can be dangerous and potentially worsen your condition.
Treatment for prostate cancer follows various approaches specific to the cancer’s stage, aggressiveness, the patient’s health, and other factors. One option, active surveillance, involves closely monitoring slow-growing tumors or early-stage cancers without immediate treatment, intervening only if there’s evidence of progression.
Surgical procedures like radical prostatectomy entail removing the prostate gland and adjacent tissue, often suitable for localized prostate cancer. Alternatively, radiation therapy utilizes high-energy rays, either externally (external beam radiation therapy) or internally through implants (brachytherapy), to eliminate cancer cells.
Hormone therapy aims to reduce male hormone (androgen) levels or their impact on cancer cell growth since prostate cancer often relies on these hormones for progression. In more advanced stages, chemotherapy, which uses drugs to target and destroy fast-growing cells, may be employed. Additionally, immunotherapy and targeted therapy leverage medications to aid the immune system in recognizing and attacking cancer cells or targeting specific abnormalities within them.
Other treatments, like cryotherapy, involve freezing prostate tissue to eradicate cancer cells. Treatment plans often combine several of these approaches, determined by the cancer’s characteristics and the patient’s preferences and overall health. It’s crucial to discuss all available options comprehensively with healthcare professionals to devise the most suitable treatment plan.
Can cannabidiol cure cancer?
Limited conclusive evidence supports Cannabidiol cures cancer. Cannabidiol is a compound, commonly found in cannabis, studied for it anti-cancer properties. However, these properties have been observed in lab research. Cannabidiol and another compound Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) show potential for symptom relief and improving life quality in certain cases. Despite studies suggesting its ability to reduce cancer cells and protect healthy ones, more human trials are necessary for confirmation. Global limitations, including legal restrictions and limited access to quality cannabis, hinder extensive research.
Dr. Sarthak Moharir, a Radiation Oncologist informs, “There is no evidence to prove CBD gummies or any marijuana product can cure any kind of cancer. The claims mentioned in the article are unreliable and fantastic.” He further states, “There is low quality evidence that CBD can help with chemotherapy associated nausea and pain from metastatic disease, but as of now there is no evidence that any cancer can cured by CBD.”
