| - Todd Gurley, the NFL's rushing touchdown leader in two of the past three seasons, has agreed to terms with the Atlanta Falcons a day after being cut by the Los Angeles Rams. "We got him," the Falcons tweeted with a video of several tweets suggesting the club obtain the former star for the nearby University of Georgia. Gurley, who reportedly will sign a one-year deal once he can complete a physical, was reportedly dropped by the Rams before a $10.5 million bonus on his old contract was to be paid. Gurley, the NFL's highest-paid rusher last year after signing a four-year extension worth $57 million in 2018, is unable to report to the Falcons headquarters or have team physicians meet him due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. "Damn I got fired on my day off #QuarantineAndChill," Gurley wrote Thursday on Twitter. Gurley could have issues due to a knee injury that limited him in the Rams' 2018 Super Bowl run and hindered him in 2019. The 25-year-old rusher had a career-best 1,305 yards and NFL-best 13 touchdown runs in the 2017 season then responded with 1,251 yards and a career-high and seson-best 17 touchdowns in 2018. Last year, he gained only 857 yards and scored 12 times. js/rcw
