A video of a drone show is being shared on social media where the users are claiming that this show was displayed at Prayagraj's Maha Kumbh Mela.
How did we find out the truth?: We performed a relevant keyword search on Google which led us to a YouTube video shared by Sky Elements Drone Shows, a drone light show provider in the US.
The visuals matched exactly with the viral clip, it included portrayal of Santa Claus.
This show was dedicated to a winter wonderland theme and was called 'Gingerbread Village' with almost 5,000 drones.
It has no mention of Kumbh Mela or India.
The same results also brought up a video shared by Guinness World Records' official YouTube channel.
It carried the same visuals of the drone show and it specified that this show happened on 26 November 2024.
We also checked Guinness World Records' official website and found the entry for this show.
It also mentions that it was executed by Sky Elements Drone Shows and UVify (both USA) in Mansfield, Texas.
Conclusion: An old video of a drone show happening in Texas, United States, is being falsely shared as one from Prayagraj's Maha Kumbh Mela 2025.
