The video predates the current conflict and shows a 2017 military training exercise in Australia. Spokespersons for the Department of Defense (DOD) and the National Security Council (NSC) refuted the claim in respective emails to Check Your Fact.

Israel has recalled Eliav Belotserkovsky, its ambassador to South Africa, according to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, The Associated Press reported. Israel made the move as South African lawmakers voted to shut down the Israeli embassy and cut off ties with the country until it agreed to a cease-fire in Gaza, the outlet indicated.
The TikTok video, which has garnered over 3,000 likes, purports to show U.S. troops landing on Israeli beaches amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. “Emergency Deployment Thousands of Troops and US Military Equipment Land of Israeli Beaches,” the video’s caption reads. In the video, a large group of troops can be seen reaching the shore as multiple military vehicles follow close behind.
The claim is false, however. The video predates the current Israel-Hamas conflict and shows a 2017 military training exercise in Australia. The exercise is called the Talisman Saber Amphibious Assault, according to the video’s title.
“Exercise Talisman Saber is the largest combined, joint military exercise undertaken by the Australian Defence Force and provides invaluable experience to ADF and U.S. personnel to improve combat training, readiness and interoperability, exposing participants to a wide spectrum of military capabilities and training experiences,” the video’s description reads. The video has been uploaded to YouTube by the U.S. Army.
Likewise, Check Your Fact found no credible news reports suggesting U.S. troops have recently landed in Israel. In addition, neither the Department of Defense (DOD) nor the White House has issued a public statement indicating U.S. troops will be deployed to Israel as a result of the country’s current conflict with Hamas.

A spokesperson for the DOD refuted the claim in an email to Check Your Fact. “Not correct,” the spokesperson said of the claim.
“U.S. troops have not landed on Israeli beaches. The video is false,” a spokesperson for the NSC told Check Your Fact via email.
Check Your Fact has also contacted the Army for comment and will update this piece accordingly if one is received.
