We fact-checked and found that the claim is false. Tha Claim “#pfizer developed this vaccine and it’s made in China,” tweeted a user while sharing an image of a Pfizer branded “vaporizer cartridge” that also has a “Made in China” mention. Fact Check Is the image real? No. The image is not real. For starters, the logo of Pfizer in the image comes with a tagline – Makers of “The Boner Pill.” This is not a company tagline and seems like a sarcastic take on the fact that Pfizer also produces Viagra. Pfizer has confirmed that the image does not belong to any of their product and it is a fake. Does Pfizer have a vaporizer vaccine for Coronavirus? No. Pfizer does not have any vaporizer vaccine. Pfizer has only one single vaccine for Coronavirus that was produced in collaboration with a German company BioNTech. The technical name of the vaccine is “BNT162b2.” The vaccine finds its mention on the website of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the US and the National Health Service in the UK. Also, the company has listed all its products on its company website in an alphabetical chronology. This has no mention of a second Covid vaccine. A false social show an allegedly Pfizer-manufactured coronavirus vaccine, contained within a vaporizer cartridge instead of the typical injection. Does Pfizer manufacture their Covid vaccines in China? No. There is no news about Pfizer running manufacturing set up of the Covid vaccine from China. Pfizer has explained their distribution and supply chain on its website and has also, in a press release, notified the manufaturing set ups they are using for the vaccine manufaturing – “Pfizer is leveraging three of its U.S. manufacturing sites to produce the COVID-19 vaccine – Saint Louis, Missouri, Andover, Massachusetts, and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Pfizer’s Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Puurs, Belgium sites are also being used.” Nowehere, a manufaturing set up in China has been mentioned.
