Syrian social media pages and accounts shared a photo of an infant and said he was found in a park in Damascus.
The pages and accounts shared a photo of a letter with the name and date of birth of the child and included the reason why this child was left alone and ask who finds him to take care of him.
Following a search by Verify-Sy, it turns out this story was shared by Libyan pages and websites before the Syrian pages but with the same information. According to the Libyan pages the child was found in front of a house in al-Bifi in Tripoli and the family who found him delivered him to
Tajoura police station who sent him to al-Jalaa Hospital in Tripoli.
Verify-Sy couldn’t verify all the information about the incident but being shared by Libyan pages and websites before Syrian websites shared it means it didn’t happen in Syria.
