| - A video showing a part of a road in front of a tunnel caving in is being shared on social media, where users are claiming that it shows visuals from Rajasthan's Jaipur, where the road purportedly collapsed on 21 February.
How did we find out the truth?: We ran a reverse image search on the video using Yandex, which led us to a social media post in Russian, sharing the same video, which was published on 12 July 2023.
It mentioned that it showed the Ordu-Sivas highway collapsing after heavy rains in Turkey.
Taking a cue from this, we ran a keyword search for 'Ordu-Sivas highway collapse' to look for more information.
This led us us to a Turkish news report by Istanbul Gazetesi, which was published on 11 July 2023.
It said that the road in front of Darıcabaşı Tunnel along the Black Sea-Mediterranean highway collapsed in a landslide caused by heavy rains, rendering the road unusable.
Another report by Alanya Postasi, which also carried the same visuals, said that a three-day-spell of heavy rains in the Mesudiye district
The road was opened again on 27 July, a report by TRT Haber said.
Conclusion: A two-year-old video from Turkey is being shared to falsely claim that it shows a road which collapsed in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
