  • FACT CHECK: No, The NFL Has Not Ended Its Partnership With Bud Light And Banned Its Products A post shared on Facebook claims the National Football League (NFL) has ended its partnership with Bud Light and banned its products. Verdict: False The claim originates from satire. Fact Check: Six months after transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney did a partnership with Bud Light, the product’s sales are still struggling, according to Newsweek. The decrease in sales could be “quasi-permanent,” with some previous consumers “lost forever,” a beer industry expert told Fox News. A Facebook post claims the NFL has ended its partnership with Bud Light and banned its products. “Breaking: NFL Ends Partnership, Bans Bud Light for Life,” the caption reads. This claim is inaccurate, however. It stems from an article by SpaceXMania labeled “satire.” The site has a disclaimer that reads, “Please note that the article under the category ‘SATIRE’ are satirical in nature and are not meant to be taken seriously. These articles are meant to be humorous and are often entirely made up. We make no claim that the information presented in these articles is true or accurate.” Check Your Fact has previously debunked multiple other claims originating from SpaceXMania. Furthermore, there are no credible news reports to corroborate the claim. (RELATED: No, The NFL Has Not Voted To Permanently Ban Kneeling During The National Anthem) Check Your Fact has reached out to the NFL and Anheuser-Busch for comment and will update this piece accordingly if one is received from either source. This is not the first time misinformation involving Bud Light has spread online. Check Your Fact previously debunked a claim that Garth Brooks cancelled his tour because he was experiencing low attendance for supporting Bud Light.
