  • FACT CHECK: Did Lindsey Graham Already Vote Against RFK Jr.’s Potential Cabinet Appointment? A post on X claims that Senator Lindsey Graham has already voted no on Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s. potential nomination for Director of Health and Human Services. TRAITOR Lindsay Graham just voted AGAINST MAHA King RFK Jr. PRIMARY this RINO LOSER. pic.twitter.com/oRnaNqrEU9 — Liz Churchill (@liz_churchill10) December 19, 2024 Verdict: False The vote has not taken place yet. The confirmation hearings are scheduled to happen in January 2025. Fact Check: President-Elect Donald Trump has promised widespread changes when he takes office on January 20, claiming that his decisive victory in the November elections was a mandate for full-scale change. He has promised to enforce the mass deportation of illegal immigrants and eliminate gender and equity initiatives in the military, among others. Despite the GOP winning a majority in both the House and Senate this election season, President Trump will still need to win over Republican support for some of his cabinet nominees. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s nominee to run the Department of Health and Human Service, has faced some opposition thanks to his stance on vaccines and supposed lack of expertise. A post on X claims that another Republican Senator, Lindsey Graham (R-SC), has already voted no on RFK’s nomination. This is false, however, as the vote has not yet taken place. Hearings for this post will begin in January after President-Elect Trump’s inauguration, and there is no date set for an official vote. Senator Graham has not definitively announced how he will vote yet, although rumors are swirling that he will vote no when the time comes. Despite this, the two met in person in December, with Senator Graham posting on his Instagram account that the two had a “very positive meeting.” (RELATED: Did Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Claim He Will Ban Diet Coke?) View this post on Instagram There is still no official word which way Sen. Graham will vote.
