A photograph of Fatima Girls Inter College located in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh is being shared on social media with a misleading claim that it is of a college in Kerala.

New Delhi (Vishvas News): A post going viral on social media shows a picture of some girls wearing burqa. The post claims that it is the picture of Girls Engineering Degree College in Kerala.
Vishvas News investigated and found the claim to be misleading. The picture going viral is not of Kerala, but of Fatima Girls Inter College in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.
Claim
Sharing the viral picture (archive link), Facebook user ‘Ayub Vaghela’ wrote in Hindi “सऊदी यह किसी इस्लामिक देश” की नही बल्कि #हिदुस्तानकेकेरल के एक #गर्ल्सइंजिनीयर डिगरी कॉलेज की #जहाँकीखवातीन दुनियांवी तालीम के साथ-साथ अपने #आख़िरतकोभीसंवाररहीहैं ..।” (English translation: This picture is not of Saudi or any Islamic country but of a Girls Engineer Degree College in Kerala, India. We are also improving our afterlife.”
Several other users on social media have shared this picture with the same claim.
Investigation
Vishvas News used Google reverse image search to find the authenticity of the viral photo. During our search, we found this picture in a report published on the website of bdc-tv.com on November 12, 2017.
According to the information given in the report written by Abu Zafar, this picture is of Fatima Girls Inter College (morning prayer) situated in Dawoodpur, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.
We found a similar report published on several other websites with the same image and similar byline, which confirms it to be of Fatima Girls Inter College in Azamgarh.
Vishvas News contacted journalist Abu Zafar about this picture. He said, ‘This picture is of Fatima Girls Inter College in Azamgarh. This picture was taken in November 2017 to be used in the related report.”
The user, who shared the viral picture with a misleading claim, has claimed to be a resident of Vadodara, Gujarat in his profile.
