However, our investigation has found that these claims are false. The breaking plates have been edited, and Rahul Gandhi has not made any such statement. What’s In The Viral Post Facebook user ‘Parmanand Jangid’ (Archive Link) shared these screenshots and claimed that Rahul Gandhi made these statements during his address in America. https://www.facebook.com/photo? fbid=968526070837346&set=a.129120731444555 Investigation To verify the viral claim, we conducted a Google reverse image search on each of the breaking plates. We found a tweet from ABP News dated November 12, 2018. The tweet included screenshots of the same breaking plates and stated that they had been doctored. ABP News clarified that the information depicted in these images, including Rahul Gandhi’s statements, had not been reported by their network and had no connection to ABP News Network. Additionally, we performed a thorough search using relevant keywords but found no credible sources or statements from Rahul Gandhi supporting the viral claim. During Rahul Gandhi’s recent tour to the United States, controversies arose regarding his various speeches. However, even there, Rahul Gandhi did not make any claims about himself or his family being Muslims. A reporter from ABP News also confirmed that the viral claim is fake, further discrediting the edited breaking plates. We reached out to Sanjeev Singh, Congress Media Coordinator, who labeled the viral post as fake.
