A photo showing actor-turned-politician Prakash Raj taking a dip in a river is going viral to claim that this picture was recently clicked at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
How did we find out the truth?: We performed a relevant keyword search on Google and found no relevant reports about Raj visiting Prayagraj for Maha Kumbh mela.
We then checked his official X (formerly Twitter) account where he had shared a screenshot of the one of the viral claims and stated that this image is fake.
He also specified that he has registered complaint against users sharing this fake image.
We also found some errors in the image, for example, his hands and fingers.
Next, we ran the image through AI detection tools like Hive Moderation and Sightengine.
The results concluded that this image has been created using AI platform and is not authentic.
The result also noted that this image is 99 percent AI-generated.
Conclusion: An AI-image of Prakash Raj taking a dip in a river in being shared to claim that he recently visited Maha Kumbh mela in Prayagraj.
