When we searched to find more information on these claims, we found a post on his social media account stating “A few media platforms are spreading the incorrect news that I am going to resign from the Council of Ministers of the Modi Government. This is grossly incorrect. Under the leadership of PM @narendramodiJi we are committed to the development and prosperity of Kerala.” According to India Today’s report, Suresh Gopi issued a clarification after the allocation of the portfolio stating that misconceptions are being spread by a certain section of the media. Hindustan Times report states that Kerala BJP president K Surendran dismissed the reports as ‘fake news’. Speaking to the media in New Delhi, K Surendran mocked the Kerala media and said a section of journalists was spreading fake news against the BJP state unit. Hence, the claim that Kerala MP Suresh Gopi, who was sworn in as a Union minister of state in the BJP government wants to resign from the ministry is False. He refuted the claims.
