  • Il 20 aprile 2023 su Twitter è stata pubblicata una foto di un camion che trasporta un oggetto sferico che ricorda le classiche immagini di presunti oggetti volanti alieni. La foto è accompagnata da questo commento, scritto dall’autore del tweet: «Qualcuno può controllare cosa sta succedendo a Kiev, per l’amor di Dio?». Si tratta di un contenuto fuorviante, che veicola una notizia falsa. La foto è reale, ma non è stata scattata ad aprile 2023 e non ha alcun legame con l’invasione militare russa dell’Ucraina. L’immagine in questione circola online da dicembre 2018. Il camion giallo e l’oggetto che sembra un Ufo compaiono anche in altre foto e video realizzati come parte di una campagna pubblicitaria e diffuse sui social da un’azienda di trasporti con sede a Kiev, in Ucraina. Contattata dai fact-checker di Reuters, la società ha confermato che l’immagine analizzata mostra un oggetto utilizzato in vari eventi promozionali.
