India Today Fact Check
This video is from 2021 and shows a rescue operation in Andhra Pradesh.
Floods caused by excessive rainfall in Madhya Pradesh have led to widespread destruction of property, displacement of people, and several deaths. According to reports, roads, fields, and grounds were submerged, and some bridges to connect roads were washed away.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced compensation for the people who have lost crops and property. Over a hundred people in the Sheopur district were also rescued by the National Disaster Response Force.
Amid all of this, a video of a rescue operation supposedly from Sheopur has gone viral. In the video, a helicopter could be seen flying above turbulent muddy water and a rescue operation could be seen taking place. People appeared to be stranded on top of a bulldozer in the middle of strong currents.
AFWA’s investigation found that the viral video was neither from Sheopur nor recent at all.

A reverse image search of the video’s frames led us to a Facebook post. The same video was shared last year on November 20, 2021, with the caption: “Anantapur: Air Force's rescue operation amid heavy floods Andhra Pradesh.” It was also shared by a YouTube channel last year.
Subsequent relevant searches led us to news reports with similar videos and photos of a rescue operation. Per reports on several news websites, in November 2021, an Indian Air Force helicopter from Yelahanka in Bengaluru rescued ten people stranded in the middle of the Chitravathi river, on top of an earthmover near the Veldurthy village in the Chennekothapalli Mandal of the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
The official Twitter account of the Indian Air Force had also shared several photos and a video of the rescue operation, taken from different angles. We spotted the same yellow earthmover in the middle of the water in them. Overall, the photos and videos appeared very similar to the viral clip. Thus, we concluded that this video had nothing to do with the recent floods in MP.

We also found that the video was earlier shared by several people claiming it was shot in Telangana. That claim was debunked at the time.
