Congress workers stopped Uddhav Thackeray from addressing a rally.

Video actually shows people persuading Thackeray to speak at a gathering in Wardha.
A video showing Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray tackling a group of men on a stage is going viral on social media platforms. Those sharing the video claimed that the Congress workers denied Thackeray “to even make a speech in rally.” Newschecker found the claim to be untrue. The video actually shows people persuading the former Maharashtra Chief Minister to address a gathering, and not denying him to make a speech as claimed.
Multiple X and Facebook users shared the 28-second-long-video with a caption, “hat a fall !! Uddhav Thackeray is the other name of SHAMELESSNESS. Watch how congress workers of Wardha denied Uddhav to even make speech in a rally… (sic)“

Notably, the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP) are in an alliance in Maharashtra as the Maha Vikas Agadhi. The Shiv Sena (UBT) is contesting 21 seats, the Congress 17, and the NCP (SP) 10 in the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls in the state.

A reverse image search on the keyframes of the viral video led us to a report by ABP Majha, dated April 22, 2024, titled “Uddhav Thackeray Wardha Speech : Uddhav Thackeray’s first attack on Nitin Gadkari, watch full speech (translated from Marathi)”
The viral clip can be seen at the beginning of the video. In the video, Thackeray says that Amar speaks well, let him continue to speak (Amar Kale is a NCP (SP) leader contesting Lok Sabha Polls from Wardha). The people on the stage can be seen persuading Thackeray to speak. Following which, the former Maharashtra CM starts his address.
Following this, we looked up keywords “Uddhav Thackeray,” “Wardha,” And “Campaign speech” in Marathi on Google, which led us to a report by Loksatta, dated April 22, 2024. It elaborated on a campaign rally for Amar Kale in Hinganghat, and stated that Uddhav Thackeray was the main attraction of the event.
Adding that, since Sharad Pawar had to catch a flight to Nagpur, he was the first one to address the gathering, followed by Kale. Thackeray was to speak after Kale. However, since he had to leave for another rally, Kale’s address was interrupted and Thackeray was invited to speak. Thackeray said that he would speak only for five minutes, but others persuaded him to speak more.
We didn’t find mention of any interruption during Thackeray’s address.

A video report by Saam TV, dated April 23, 2024, featured the viral clip. In the video, Kale is addressing the gathering when a man comes and whispers in his ears. Following which, Thackeray is seen at the podium, and heard saying that Amar speaks well, and praising him. Those present on the stage can be seen convincing the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader to address the gathering. Thackeray is then heard saying that he will speak only for five minutes, and people on the stage are heard persuading to speak longer. Thackeray also appeals to the gathering to stay after his speech, and listen to Kale’s full address.
The proceedings of the event was live streamed on the official YouTube channel of the NCP-SP on April 22, 2024. Around 1 hour, 35 minutes into the video, the viral clip can be seen.

We could thus conclude that a video showing people persuading Uddhav Thackeray to address a gathering has been falsely shared to show the Congress workers interrupting his speech, and denying him to speak.
