  • Fact Check: Yet another Delhi road rage video? Nope, this is from Mexico This video shows a 2022 incident in Toluca, Mexico. It has nothing to do with Delhi. Listen to Story India Today Fact Check This video is from December 2022, and shows a road rage incident in Toluca, a city in Mexico. Delhi is no stranger to incidents of road rage. Now, a video of one such alleged incident from India’s capital is making the rounds on social media. In the video, a car rams into a man multiple times. India Today Fact Check found that the incident was not from Delhi. It’s not even from India. It’s a 2022 indecent from the Mexican city of Toluca. Our Probe Reverse searching keyframes from the viral video led us to a Reddit post, featuring the video in question. In its comment section, we found a news report about the incident. According to this Spanish report, a fight occurred between men driving in Avenida Tecnol³gico in Mexico, on December 3, 2022. The conflict led to a man driving over the other man twice with his car. The culprit was later arrested by the police. We then found several social media posts and news reports about this incident. According to them, this road rage incident occurred in front of a McDonald's outlet at the Avenida Tecnol³gico, Toluca. Another report about the incident contained photos of the damaged vehicle and the men involved in the road rage incident. The Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico also tweeted about the incident on December 4, 2022, stating that the police had detained the culprit. We looked for a McDonald’s outlet near the mentioned location of the incident and found one at ‘Av Tecnol³gico 1342’. The street view of the road opposite this outlet matched the location of the viral video. It is hence, clear, that a road rage video from Mexico’s Toluca was falsely shared as a Delhi incident.
