Twitter users, who shared the picture, allude that the man is a Hausa man who was attacked during the clash. On February 14, 2021 a Twitter user, with the username @iamunscramz tweeted the picture with the caption; What is his crime? He speaks Hausa fluently and wears a Hausa native and also stays in OYO. #StopKillingNortherners A day before the tweet, on Saturday, February 13, 2021, there were reports of ethnic clash between Hausa and Yoruba people at Shasha area of Ibadan.
