The video is from 2019. Fact Check: The Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah launched a rocket attack from Lebanon on Monday, NBC News reported. The Twitter post purports Hezbollah released footage of anti-ship missiles as a response to the United States sending a warship to the region. The video shows a camera panning across several missiles. The caption reads, “#Hezbollah published a video demonstrating its anti-ship missiles after the media reported the arrival of #US warships in the Mediterranean Sea.” The caption is inaccurate. The video was not released recently. The video dates back to 2019, according to Iran Press. The video was not in response to the U.S. recent military movements to the region. However, according to reports from Israel Defense, the video was released as a message to Israel of deterrence from conflict at the time. A few days after the video was released the IDF traded cross-border fire The Guardian reported. The U.S has sent USS Dwight D. Eisenhower to the Mediterranean Sea, according to USNI. Also, the military stationed the USS Bataan and the USS Carter Hall in the Red Sea.
