| - A video showing people sitting on boats enjoying fireworks is being shared on social media platforms with users linking it to the recently concluded 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela.
What have users said?: Those sharing the clip have posted it with a caption that said, "Iconic Scenes marking the end of Mahakumbh which United more than 66 Cr 21 Lakh Hindus. Thank you @myogiadityanath for all you have done for Sanatana Dharma."

(More archives of similar claims can be found here and here.)
Is this claim true?: No. The video could be traced back to at least November 2024, which predates the conclusion of the recent Maha Kumbh Mela held in Uttar Pradesh.
How did we find that out?: Using the help of Google Lens, we conducted a reverse image search that led us to the same visuals published on an Instagram handle called 'photographycliclucknow'.
The clip was posted on 15 November 2024 and its caption identified the location as Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
We have reached out to the user to seek more information on the viral clip.
News report: Team WebQoof performed a keyword search on Google and came across a report published by LiveMint that talked about fireworks show in Varanasi.
It mentioned that grand fireworks were seen on the sky on River Ganga's ghats on the occasion of Dev Deepawali.
The report further said that several people had gathered for the show, which also witnessed some people enjoying boat rides during the fireworks.
Other sources: We found multiple videos available on YouTube that showed the fireworks on the occasion of Dev Deepawali. Its title said, "Dev Deepawali Firework Show 2024 | Kashi Vishwanath Corridor."
The clip was posted on 15 November 2024.
At around the 5:30 timestamp, one could see a similar pattern of the fireworks as spotted in the viral clip.
Conclusion: While we could not independently verify the location of the clip, it is clear that the video is unrelated to the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela conclusion.
