This man can be seen clapping on the lyrics of the hymn. The video has been made from the back seat of the vehicle. Some users on social media are sharing this video as that of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Vishvas News fact-checked the viral post and found the claim to be fake. This video had gone viral once earlier too. This video has been fact-checked by the official Twitter handle of the UP government, Info Uttar Pradesh Fact Check, itself. Claim: Facebook user Laddu Yadav (archive link) uploaded a 22-second video on March 19, claiming, “Seeing Maharaj ji’s enthusiasm as soon as the song ‘Mathura bhi saja denge’ is played, it seems that even a decision will be made on it too.” The content of the viral post is reproduced here as it is. Believing it to be true, people are also making it viral on other social media platforms. You can view the archived version of the post here. Investigation Vishvas News was the first to use online tools to fact-check the viral video attributed to Yogi Adityanath. We could not find any news item through Google open search tool, which could confirm that it is the Chief Minister of UP in the video. Enhancing the scope of investigation, we started scanning the social media accounts of Yogi Adityanath. The viral video was not found on any of his accounts or handles. During the search, a tweet was definitely found on the official Twitter handle of the UP government, ‘Info Uttar Pradesh Fact Check’. Posted on January 9, 2022, the tweet said the person in the viral video listening to bhajan in a moving car was not Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Taking the investigation further, Vishvas News contacted the chief minister’s Media Advisor Mrityunjay Kumar and shared the viral video with him. Giving information to Vishvas News, he said it wasn’t UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the viral video. Vishvas News could not confirm the exact identity of the person in the viral video is, but it is confirmed that the man is not Adityanath. In the last phase of the investigation, social scanning of Facebook user Laddu Yadav was done. It was learned that the user has 91 thousand followers. This user from Telangana belongs to a political party. Conclusion: In the investigation of Vishvas News, the viral post in the name of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath proved to be fake.
