Is the claim true?: No, the claim is false.
The video has been shot and edited by a digital creator, Anvesh Patel. The audio is a "human original" and has been added to the video.
The creator confirmed to The Quint that the audio was real and created with the help of his friend.
What we found: At first, we divided the video into multiple frames and ran a Google reverse image search on some of them.
We found a page on Instagram by Anveshgraphy, a user from Hyderabad. It posted the same video as the viral clip a week ago.
As per the user's Instagram bio, Patel's account was listed under "photography and videography."
According to the caption, the video was shot by the user, and the audio was a "human original." Patel added that the audio was copyrighted.
He mentioned further that he was at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj to witness it in its glory.
We, then, went through the user's profile and found a similar video as this. Accompanied by aerial visuals of Hyderabad, a similar audio of a pilot making an announcement about flying over it could be heard.
This video's caption also noted that the visuals were shot by him and the audio was "human original."
Team WebQoof reached out to Patel who confirmed that the audio was real and created with the help of his friend from the United States of America (USA). He added that he took the drone shots in the video.
Conclusion: A digitally edited video about an in-flight announcement of a flight flying over the Kumbh has gone viral as real on social media.
