In-form France centre Virimi Vakatawa will sit out training on Wednesday due to a tricep injury, the French Rugby Federation announced earlier in the day. Vakatawa, 27, who has scored seven tries for club side Racing 92 this season, had heavy strapping on his left arm during les Bleus' 24-17 Six Nations victory over England last weekend. He temporarily left the field on the seven-minute mark of Sunday's game after Vincent Rattez' opening try. The 2016 Rio Olympian was substituted seconds before the end of the tie by uncapped Montpellier midfielder Vincent Rattez. France host Italy this Sunday in their second match of the campaign. Head coach Fabien Galthie is set to name his side to face the Azzurri on Friday. mca-ole/bpa/iwd
