A picture of a woman lying on a hospital bed is going viral on social media with the claim that she was raped by a doctor in a corona isolation ward and died soon after being discharged.
Right when you start thinking that humans cannot get more disgusting, Something like this happens. A woman who was said to be 2 months pregnant was admitted raped into Corona Isolation Ward of Magadh Medical College, Gaya, Bihar. She was admitted into the emergency ward at first due to bleeding after that she was shifted to normal ward and her treatment was going on. She travelled home from Ludhiyana, Punjab on 25th of March, So on the basis of that She was shifted to Corona Isolation Ward on 1st of where the doctor who used to go for checkup kept raping her for 2 days straight. When her mother in law went to meet her, She told her about the entire incident and begged to take her home. The woman also complained to the guard who told her to remain silent and think about her family's reputation. On 3rd of April when she tested negative for corona, She was discharged from the hospital. She kept on telling about whatever happened with her in the hospital to her family but they didn't react due to the fear of society or whatever. She went through miscarriage after coming home and She died on Monday. Not just that, She lost her kid because of miscarriage which happened because she was brutally raped inside. Just imagine the pain that mother went through. You know we all will say Rest in Peace but I don't think it's gonna happen until she gets justice. An FIR has been filed against the accused and An investigation committee has been formed. I just hope that the woman get justice before its too late. When all the doctors are risking their lives for us, This doctor became a dark spot on the name of humanity. Now this is the kind of doctor who deserves to be beaten up and I won't feel bad if someone beats him up. I don't know what else to say except requesting all the women to stay safe and Take stand against issues like this.. I ain't gonna say RIP tonight, I'll wait until she gets justice. India Today Anti Fake News War Room (AFWA) has found the claim to be misleading. The teenage girl in the viral photograph was allegedly raped by a ward boy in a hospital in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in June 2017.
As per media reports, the 16-year-old student was admitted to the intensive care unit of a private nursing home after she fell ill at a party.
The ward boy had asked her to change her clothes as they were wet. He then took her to the washroom and reportedly tried to force himself upon her. According to the complainant, the accused later drugged her and then raped her.
Gaya horror
However, another case has been reported in Gaya, Bihar, where a migrant woman admitted in a corona isolation ward was reportedly sexually abused by a healthcare worker.
According to media reports, the 25-year-old victim had returned to Gaya from Ludhiana in Punjab with her husband after an abortion.
The woman had complained of excessive bleeding after which she was admitted to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMMCH) on March 27 in an emergency ward.
Later, it was suspected she might have been infected by coronavirus, following which she was shifted to the isolation ward. It was here that the incident took place. She was discharged from the hospital but died on April 6 due to excessive bleeding.
Therefore, it is clear that the viral image is around three years old and not related to coronavirus. However, a similar incident was reported recently from Gaya in Bihar.
