The claim is Misleading. Even though the video shows Yamuna aarti being performed in the ghats of Delhi, this is not the first time aarti is happening in Delhi. Yamuna aarti was started in the year 2024.
When we searched for the reports about the Yamuna aarti, we found a YouTube video published by the channel named Raj Niwas Delhi, which is the official YouTube channel of Lieutenant Governor's Secretariat, Delhi, showing visuals of Yamuna aarti being performed at Vasudev ghat in Delhi by the Hon'ble Lt. Governor, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena on the occasion of #RamMandirPranPrathistha.
We found a video uploaded on YouTube showing Yamuna aarti being performed with the description stating that Delhi, a city rich in cultural and spiritual heritage, now offers a new destination for pilgrims and visitors: the Yamuna Aarti at Vasudev Ghat. Inaugurated on March 12, 2024, by Sh. Vinai Kumar Saxena (Hon’ble LG, Delhi) and Sh. Subhasish Panda (Vice Chairman, DDA), Vasudev Ghat is part of an initiative by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to rejuvenate 66 hectares of ghats along the Yamuna River from Wazirabad to the Old Railway Bridge. We also found reports published about Yamuna aarti inaugurated in March 2024, according to the article published in Hindustan Times, Lieutenant governor (LG) VK Saxena inaugurated Vasudev Ghat, located along the western bank of the Yamuna between Yamuna Ghat and Nigam Bodh Ghat, with evening aarti.
Hence, the claim that the Yamuna aarti is being performed for the first time is Misleading. Yamuna aarti was performed before, even during the AAP rule in Delhi.
