New Delhi (Vishvas News). The countdown to the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 has officially begun, and the political landscape is buzzing with campaigns. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has nominated Avadh Ojha as their candidate for the Patparganj seat. Ojha, known for his strong social media presence, is transitioning from education to politics. Amidst this, a viral video of Ojha has surfaced, where he allegedly calls Manish Sisodia a ‘coward’ in a poem.
Vishvas News investigated the viral clip and found it to be edited. The sequence of Ojha’s answer and the reporter’s question has been changed. In reality, the poem was originally delivered in the context of leaving the field of education and joining politics. He did not make any derogatory comments about Manish Sisodia.
What is going viral?
Facebook user Nagendra Singh uploaded this video clip on January 12, 2025, claiming ‘AAP candidate from Patparganj, Avadh Ojha, says that Manish Sisodia, who was jailed in the liquor scam, is a coward and did not fulfill his promises.’
In the viral video, the reporter is heard asking, “Patparganj has been a very high-profile seat, Manish Sisodia was elected from here thrice, this time he has left the seat.” In response to this, Ojha is allegedly seen saying in the video, “Those who did not fight a war in their life must be very unfortunate, either they must have broken their vows or they must have run away from the battle.”

Investigation
Vishvas News carefully analysed the viral clip and observed that the reporter’s mic displays the NDTV logo.
Upon searching NDTV’s YouTube channel, we found the full interview uploaded on January 8, 2025. The description read, “Delhi Election: Special conversation with Awadh Ojha who entered the electoral fray from Patparganj.”
At the 35-second mark in the video, the reporter introduces AAP candidate Awadh Ojha and asks, “You joined the party and directly jumped into the electoral fray.” In response to this, Ojha says, “Those who did not have a war in their life must also be very unlucky, either they must have broken their vow or they must have run away from the battle.” Ojha further stated, “After gaining significant experience in my life about what education is and what is the role of education, today I have come to unveil the statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar which shows how knowledge changes a life. So the experience which I have gained, I now want to share with this country.”
Later, at the 1.46-minute mark, the reporter asks, “Patparganj has been a very high-profile seat, Manish Sisodia was elected from here thrice, this time he has left the seat.” To this, Ojha says, “He did not leave it, he gave it to me. Because he was also associated with education and I also had to work further in the field of education, so I requested him and took the seat.”
It is clear from this entire conversation that the order of the reporter’s question and Ojha’s answer has been changed and edited, The poem recited by Ojha was in the context of shifting from the field of education and entering politics.
To verify this, we directly contacted Awadh Ojha, who confirmed that the viral video is edited.
At the end of the investigation, we conducted a social scanning of Facebook user Nagendra Singh, who is from Varanasi and has 5000 followers.
