| - A photo shared online in mid-February 2025 allegedly shows a framed mug shot of U.S. President Donald Trump hanging on a wall in the White House. The mug shot was taken at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia, in August 2023 when Trump was indicted on 13 charges related to election interference in the 2020 presidential election.
The picture that circulated online appeared to capture a meeting between Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inside the Oval Office on Feb. 13, 2025.
One Reddit user (archived), whose post had amassed more than 46,000 upvotes as of this writing, shared the photo, which purportedly showed Trump's mug shot on the right side of the picture. Likewise, Republican Georgia state Sen. Colton Moore shared a zoomed-in version of the photo on X (archived), captioned: "Do you see Trump's Fulton County mug shot?"
Another X user wrote in their caption that the mug shot had found its "perfect spot" and that it was "blending in like it was always meant to be there."
In short, the photograph does authentically show that Trump's mug shot was framed and mounted on a wall of the White House, with numerous sources capturing the picture's location.
Trump's indictments prompted a series of fabricated mug shots. However, Snopes has previously verified that the image below from his surrender to the authorities in Fulton County is legitimate.

After Modi's first visit to Washington, D.C., since Trump began his second term as president, the Indian prime minister posted a series of photographs (archived) capturing moments from their discussions and a news conference they held together.
The X post included the same picture seen in the social media posts and featured Trump's Fulton County mug shot — hung on a blue wall visible through a doorway in the Oval Office — on the photo's right side.
