A photo showing the inside of a run down classroom with bare walls and no tables or chairs is being shared on social media, to claim that it shows the condition of government schools under the Aam Aadmi Party-led (AAP) Delhi government.
The post comes ahead of the 2025 Delhi Elections and also targets AAP leader and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by showing a photograph of his residence.
One such report by The Quint, published in 2018, also carried the photo with a caption mentioning that it showed a school in Bihar. The image was credited to news agency Reuters.
Taking a cue from this, we looked for more details about the photograph in Reuters pictures' archive, using the keyword 'Chapra'.
We found there photograph here, which said that it was taken in Brahimpur village in Bihar's Chapra district on 19 July 2013.
Conclusion: An 11-year-old photo from Bihar is being shared to falsely claim that it shows the condition of government schools in Delhi.
