| - In late November 2024, residents of several Indiana cities and towns reported the presence of recruitment flyers for a hate group calling itself the Trinity White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.
The flyers reportedly urged self-deportation of immigrants before President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025. "Leave Now, Avoid Deportation" they read:
These reports were true. Flyers advertising a recruitment phone number and mailing address belonging to the Trinity White Knights of the KKK were confirmed by local media and political leaders.
As reported by South Bend's WSBT-TV on Nov. 18, 2024, the fliers first appeared in Goshen, and have since been spotted in other cities:
Some Indiana neighborhoods were met with eye opening flyers Monday morning and Sunday night.
Ku Klux Klan flyers were found in Goshen earlier Monday calling for the mass deportation of immigrants.
[…]
People in several communities were startled to see the flyers, especially in a diverse community like Goshen.

The cited cities that received the flyers were Valparaiso, Michigan City, South Bend, Elkhart, Goshen, Plymouth, Warsaw, Rochester, Westfield, Carmel, and Fishers.
"WSBT 22 received an email from someone alleging the Trinity White Knights of the KKK are responsible for passing out thousands of flyers Sunday night," the outlet reported.
Goshen's mayor, Gina Leichty, released a statement to the news station confirming the flyers' existence.
The Trinity White Knights is a small hate group founded in 2012 and based in Kentucky. The group has been responsible for the distribution of similar flyers across the country, including anti-Haitian flyers that appeared in Springfield, Ohio, in September 2024.
Because the reports have been confirmed by local media and leaders, and because the flyers fit within the modus operandi of a known hate group that has taken credit for their distribution, the claim is true.
