CLAIM Video shows people scrambling for bread in Ilorin recently. THE FINDINGS Findings by The FactCheckHub show that the claim is MISLEADING. When The FactCheckHub subjected the keyframes in the video to Google Reverse Image search, the result shows that the image has been online since January 19, 2023. A longer version of the video shows that a cross-dresser on Instagram (Toby Twerk), who shot it, said the video shows people jostling for bread during an electioneering campaign ahead of the 2023 presidential election in Ilorin, Kwara State. The claim that the video shows people scrambling for bread in Ilorin recently is MISLEADING; the video has been online since January 2023 in the build-up to the Nigeria’s 2023 general election.
