A photo of Telugu legendary actor N T Rama Rao sitting with Former Indian Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru has been in circulation on social media for many years. Famously called NTR, the actor has not only made his impression on the hearts of the Telugu people but also created history by establishing a local political party and becoming Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh state. The image is being shared with the claim that it shows a rare image of Jawaharlal Nehru meeting with Legendary actor and politician NT Rama Rao. In the image, we can see the actor smiling while the Former PM seriously listens. Fact check: The image has been morphed. The claim that it is a rare image showing Jawaharlal Nehru with Legendary actor NT Rama Rao is FALSE. When we performed a reverse image search using Google, we found the original image of Former Indian PM Jawaharlal Nehru sitting beside Mahatma Gandhi engrossed in a discussion. On theGetty images website, the original image was published with the description "Jawaharlal Nehru, the newly elected President of the All India Congress, talking with Mahatma Gandhi, Indian political strong man, at a meeting of the Congress, Bombay, India" This image has been regularly used by many publications on various occasions in their articles over the years. It can also be found in Alamy stock photos. This image has been debunked by Factly.in, in January 2020. Hence, the image being shared as the rare picture of Former Indian PM Jawaharlal Nehru with Legendary actor N T Rama Rao is a Morphed image and the claim is FALSE.
