A video shared on Facebook allegedly shows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy calling President Joe Biden a “butthole” while presenting an award. Verdict: False A transcript shown on the official White House website shows that Zelenskyy was actually saying “Pavlov,” the name of a Ukrainian military captain who requested the medal be awarded to Biden. Fact Check: During Zelenskyy’s visit to the White House Dec. 21, Biden assured America’s support for Ukraine through its conflict with Russia, according to Reuters. Zelenskyy presented Biden with a medal earned by a Ukrainian military captain who requested it to be passed along to Biden, Business Insider reported. A Facebook video claims that Zelenskyy called Biden a “Butthole.” The video features Zelenskyy and Biden in front of the fireplace in the oval office. “Since Biden Shi*s His Pants All The Time He Was Given The Butthole Award,” the post’s caption reads. The video shows Zelenskyy handing Biden a medal, with captions that claim he says “butthole” several times. (RELATED: Does This Video Show Volodymyr Zelenskyy Dancing With A Rocket Launcher?) The video is miscaptioned, however. The official transcript, available through the White House website, shows that Zelenskyy says “Pavlo.”The name is a reference to Captain Palo Cherniavskyi, who requested awarding Biden the Ukrainian Medal of Merit, according to Newsweek. Check Your Fact found no credible news reports to suggest that Zelenskyy said such a thing.
