Posting that video on X handle, a user wrote, “Seeing the fight of #CPIM candidate @DharDipsita in Sreerampore, the condition of #BJP candidate Kabir Shankar Bose’s former father-in-law, three-time MP & this year’s #TMC candidate Kalyan Banerjee!” (sic). (Archive Link) Fact A reverse image search of a keyframe of the viral clip led us to the longer version of the same video, published on the official YouTube channel of News18 Bangla, dated October 14, 2021. Per the news, on the auspicious day of Navami, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee moved into tears in front of the Maa Durga idol. Other Bengali media outlets like ETV Bharat West Bengal, TV9 Bangla, Zee 24 Ghanta also published the same video at that time.
