In the photo, a liquor bottle is placed near Ravi Shastri’s feet. In the description of the post, it is being said that Shastri kept a liquor bottle along during a pre-match photo shoot. In our investigation we found that the viral picture is photoshopped. There was no liquor bottle in the real picture. CLAIM Some members of the Indian cricket team can be seen in the viral photo with head coach Ravi Shastri. In the photo, a liquor bottle can be seen near the feet of Ravi Shastri. The post’s description says, “Neeche Dekho…👇Neeche Dekho….👇 Shastri ki Kurssi ke Neeche Zoom karke Dekho 😳🤣☹️😣😫👇👇👇” FACT CHECK To start our investigation, we searched this photo on Google Reverse Image. In our search, we found a picture shared by BCCI’s official Twitter handle on July 6, which was a detailed photo of the viral image. But there is no liquor bottle anywhere in this picture. For more confirmation on this post, Jagan’s Sports Journalist Abhishek Tripathi spoke to BCCI’s official in London. The BCCI official said, “This photo was taken before the start of a match in the field. No one can carry liquor on the field. Someone has edited the original photo.” This post was shared by a Facebook page named “Mauka Mauka”. This page has a total of 114,243 followers.
