Fact :BJP candidate Madhavi Latha was holding a portable rotating digital counter for meditation, not a teleprompter remote
Bharatiya Janata Party MP candidate from Hyderabad Kompella Madhavi Latha recently appeared on a popular show called ‘Aap ki Adalat’ hosted by Rajat Sharma. The host invites various celebrities and asks them controversial questions. The guests need to defend themselves against the accusations made by the public or the host. Celebrities like Indian PM Narendra Modi, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, etc. participated in the show.
After Madhavi Latha participated in the show, she was praised by PM Narendra Modi for her straight forward and assertive answers.
Meanwhile, a collage of images showing Madhavi Latha participating in the show is in circulation on social media with the claim that she used a teleprompter for her answers in the show and that she can be seen holding a teleprompter remote in her hands. This collage of images is shared with captions like “Teleprompter makes a good orator. BJP is full of perfidious characters.”

A fan page of Akbaruddin Owaisi also shared the image with the same claim.
Fact check:
The claim is Misleading. The BJP leader is holding a counting device used for meditation purposes.
When we used the viral image shared to search on Google, we found a few e-commerce webpages selling similar devices online. The device sold on temu.com is named as Roller Counter, Digital Counter, Warehouse Counter, Ring-shaped Counter, or Handheld Electronic Counter. The image can be seen here.
We also found a similar device on Amazon. in, which is called Portable Plastic Beads Portable Rotating Digital Finger Counter for Pooja Meditation Prayer Japa Mala.
We can see the device with her in some other interviews also.

Hence, the device held by BJP leader Madhavi Latha is not a teleprompter remote, it is a digital counting device used for meditation purposes. The claim is Misleading.
