  • FACT CHECK: Did U.S. Marines Discover A ‘Coolers’ Of Children’s Organs In California Warehouse? A post shared on Facebook purports U.S. Marines discovered a ‘coolers’ of children’s organs in a California warehouse. Verdict: False The post stems from a satirical website. There is no evidence to suggest this claim is accurate. Fact Check: Health experts are warning that the upcoming winter could bring a “more significant flu season,” urging parents to vaccinate their children from the flu as well as COVID-19, according to WNYT. Uptake on the updated vaccine boosters, however, is lower than expected, CNN reported. The Facebook post purports U.S. Marines discovered a warehouse in the San Fernando Valley in California that held human body parts. Marines “found instead coolers containing organs—livers, lungs, kidneys, hearts, and, yes, intestines—that had been excised from adolescent children,” the post reads in part. This claim is baseless. There are no credible news reports suggesting that Marines made any such discovery. No announcement related to the claim has been released by the Los Angeles Police Department on their website or verified social media accounts. Likewise, no such announcement appears on the Marines’ website. Check Your Fact has contacted the Marines for comment and will update this piece if a response is provided. The post stems from an Nov. 1 article on the Real Raw News website. The site’s “about us” page identifies itself as containing “humor, parody, and satire.” (RELATED: Did CNN Report The Russians Gave Brittney Griner A DNA Test To Determine Her Gender?) Check Your Fact recently debunked a viral post that also stemmed from Real Raw News. The post claimed, a Treasury Department employee exposed government corruption stemming from Secretary Janet Yellen.
