Fact Check:
An investigation by the Supreme Court into a leak of the Dobbs v. Jackson decision in 2022 failed to identify the person behind the release, according to Fox News. The investigation reportedly interviewed 97 employees and listed numerous forensic measures that were taken, CNN reported.
The Facebook image claims that “every single Republican blocked” Brown Jackson’s SCOTUS confirmation. The claim originates from a tweet posted by liberal commentator Dash Dobrofsky.

“Every single Republican blocked Ketanji Brown Jackson’s SCOTUS appointment. Did everything they could to prevent the 1st African American woman from being seated. Yet they all voted to confirm accused white rapist, Brett Kavanaugh. Remember this before the MAGAs post about MLK Jr,” the tweet reads.
This claim, however, is false. Three Republicans voted to advance her nomination in April, according to Insider. While it is true that no Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee did not vote to advance her nomination, the post says “every single Republican,” and does not specify the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The three Republicans who voted to advance her nomination — Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Utah Sen. Mitt Romney — also voted to confirm Brown Jackson to her SCOTUS seat, according to the roll call vote. Furthermore, the post’s claim that every single Republican voted to confirm Kavanaugh is false. Murkowski voted present, while Indiana Sen. Steve Daines was not present for the vote, according to the Senate website.

This is not the first time false claims regarding the nomination process of Brown Jackson have circulated online. Check Your Fact previously debunked a claim suggesting Republican Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn made a racial gesture towards the then-nominated justice.
