Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed former Public Integrity Section chief Jack Smith as a special prosecutor in investigations into former President Donald Trump, Politico reported. The social media post purports Pelosi has resigned due to a recording with unspecified revelations. The post does not identify the source of the leak, but claims user @RED.WAVE1776 posted some clips of the alleged tapes on his account. “BREAKING: IG user @red.wave1776 has acquired leaked audio that proves Nancy Pelosi was forced to resign,” the post reads. “Follow now to see the truth that is being blocked by mainstream media!” The leaks do not exist. There are no credible news reports suggesting there is any such audio. Pelosi has not addressed any such recording on her verified social media accounts.
