Fact The bucket, and ladle were not empty. A video of the same event shows the Prime Minister placing food on the plates. A photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi holding a steel vessel, and a ladle serving devotees at a Gurudwara, is being widely shared on social media platforms. Those sharing the image claim that the Prime Minister was just imitating the act of serving as both the bucket as well as the ladle were empty. Newschecker found the claim to be untrue. A video of the same shows PM Modi serving langar to devotees at Gurudwara Patna Sahib. Such posts can be seen here, here and here. Also Read: Old Video From West Bengal Shared To Claim Vote Rigging In Hyderabad’s Bahadurpura A Google lens search on the viral image led us to an X post by Aaj Tak, dated May 13, 2024, carrying a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi serving langar at the Gurudwara Patna Sahib. On comparing a keyframe of the video with the viral image, we found them to be identical. Also Read: Fake Quote Of Naseeruddin Shah Taking A Dig At PM Narendra Modi, Kangana Ranaut Goes Viral The video was also uploaded on the official YouTube channel of Narendra Modi on May 13, 2024, stating, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to the state of Bihar. He served Langar at the Takhat Shri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib to the members of the Sikh community.” In the video PM Modi is clearly seen serving food on the plates of devotees seated on the floor. Carrying snippets from the Prime Minister’s visit to the Gurudwara, a report by NDTV stated, “Wearing a turban and holding a pot of kheer, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today served langar, a communal meal, to devotees at the Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib Gurdwara in Bihar’s capital Patna…PM Modi also helped the Gurdwara management to cook food for the langar.” Also Read: LK Advani Praised Rahul Gandhi?
