  • Fact Check: Scripted video viral as CCTV footage of delivery agent's sexual assault The video allegedly showing a group of intoxicated men sexually assaulting a female food delivery agent is actually scripted and made for entertainment and awareness. Listen to Story India Today Fact Check The viral video does not show a real incident. The original version had a disclaimer at the end stating it was staged, which was trimmed out. A video making the rounds on social media allegedly shows the sexual assault of a woman delivery person. In the video, when the delivery agent arrives at her destination, a man comes out of the house and collects the food without paying her. When she knocks on the door again, an argument ensues. Then another man comes out of the house and both men forcibly drag the woman inside and shut the door. The men later throw the woman out of the house, now injured. Many shared the video as CCTV footage of a real incident that took place on December 20, 2024. India Today Fact Check found that this video was staged and does not show a real incident. The original video had a disclaimer at the end, which was trimmed out. OUR PROBE Reverse-searching keyframes from the viral video led us to the same video shared on a YouTube channel named “3rd Eye” on January 2, 2025. Its description read, “This was unexpected. See what happened when a delivery person meet wrong address. Disclaimer: Thank you for watching! Please note that this page features scripted dramas, parodies, and awareness videos. These short films are created for entertainment and educational purposes only. All characters and situations depicted in the videos are fictional and intended to raise awareness, entertain, and educate.” Also, at the 2-minute-12-second mark, the video featured a disclaimer that stated that it was made for educational and entertainment purposes. Notably, this YouTube channel often shares scripted videos made in the same CCTV footage format, with red arrows pointing at actors, date, and time stamp on the video. India Today Fact Check has debunked similar scripted videos shared as real incidents of daylight robbery, a woman lighting her cigarette with a temple’s lamp, and a barber’s neck massage paralysing a customer. These videos were also shared on the “3rd Eye” YouTube channel. It is, thus, clear that a scripted video was falsely shared as a real incident.
