We found that the official account of Pakistan’s Punjab Police had replied to one of the viral tweets saying that this incident that took place in 2021. The woman who can be seen in the video was Dua Chaudhary, who came to file an FIR against her husband. The tweet also mentioned the FIR number for this case: “1506/21”.
Using this clue, we ran a keyword search in Urdu and found that several people had shared the video in question in August 2021. Per these posts, Pakistani actress Dua Chaudhary was allegedly tortured by her husband Salman Shaukat. When she went to file a complaint at Ichhra police station in Lahore, SHO Manawan along with other policemen allegedly abused her and tried to steal evidence against Shaukat. One such post had multiple videos showing Chaudhary in the police station, narrating her ordeal.
We also found multiple news reports about this incident that stated that Chaudhary’s husband Salman Shaukat was SHO Manawan's brother. We also found a tweet containing photos of the police complaint in Urdu, but we could not independently verify its authenticity.
Thus, it’s clear that this video is old and from Imran Khan’s regime.
