| - On the sidelines of ongoing war between Hamas and Israel, a video claiming that it shows an Israeli woman narrating her experience when she was held captive by Islamic militant group Hamas. As the conflict reached its 20th day as of Oct 26, 2023, about 1,400 Israelis and about 6,000 Palestinians have been killed so far as per the reports, with no independent verification.
The claim alongwith the video clip reads in Hindi:”इजराइली महिला ने बताया कि वह तीन दिनों से हमास के आतंकियों की कैद में थी । तीन दिन बाद वो मेरे लिए चावल और मीट की सब्जी खाने के लिए लाए । मै बहुत भूखी थी, मेरे खाने के बाद मुझे बताया की यह मीट की सब्जी तुम्हारे एक साल के उस बच्चे को काटकर बनाई गई थी, जिसे हमने तुमसे छीना था ।उन्होंने 10 साल की लड़कियों का रेप उसके मरने तक किया ।” [Translated version in English reads:The Israeli woman told that she was in captivity of Hamas terrorists for three days. After three days he brought me rice and meat curry to eat. I was very hungry, after I had my meal they told me that this meat curry was made by cutting the one year old child of yours, whom we had snatched from you. They raped 10 year old girls till his death.]

When our team checked for the video using the InVid app with key frames, it quickly led us to a video from a 2017 interview of Yazidi Iraqi MP Vian Dakhil with Egyptian channel Extra where she talking about the atrocities committed by Islamic State terrorists in Iraq on Yazidi women and other captives.
The translation by “MEMRI TV” written on the left hand corner of the original video confirms that the video was from 2017 and not that of an Israeli woman speaking on the current conflict between the Israelis and Hamas.
Claim: Video claims an Isaraeli woman speaking about her experience under captivity by Hamas and served food of her slain child.
Conclusion: False, old video of Yazidi Iraqi MP Vian Dakhil with Egyptian channel Extra where she talks about the atrocities committed by Islamic State on Yazidi women was used changing the voiceover.
