| - A set of videos, one of which shows water spilling out of a bathtub and the other, showing a massive tremor captured on CCTV, are being shared on the internet as a recent visuals from the earthquake that struck Delhi in the wee hours of 17 February.
What are users saying?: The clip of the bathtub was posted with a caption that said, "#JustIn -Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi on Sunday morning. The earth kept shaking for several seconds, due to which people panicked and came out of their houses..."
The other video, showing a jolt captured on a CCTV camera, was shared as a visual of the same earthquake in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) by Zee News Hindi and other social media users.

Is this claim true?: No, neither of the videos show the recent earthquake in Delhi.
The first clip dates back to February 2021 and shows water spilling out a tub due to a quake in Japan.
The oldest post containing the second video was shared a day before the Delhi earthquake and one of a tremor in Islamabad, Pakistan.
How did we find that out?: On performing a Google Lens search on the keyframes of the clip of the bathtub, we found the same visuals shared on an unverified YouTube channel named 'Jukin Media'.
It was posted on 16 February 2021 and its title said, "Water Spills Out of Bathtub as it Shakes Rigorously During Earthquake in Japan."
Other sources: The same visuals were published on the official website of The Weather Channel on 23 February 2021. Its caption said, "Water Flies from Tub During Strong Japan Earthquake."
A recurring theme: Team WebQoof had previously debunked the same clip in December 2023, where users had incorrectly linked the visuals to the earthquake in Philippines. You can read our fact-check here.
What about the other video?: We noticed that the date stamp in this video showed that it was recorded late in the evening of 15 February, more than a day before the earthquake in Delhi.
Following the same process for this clip led us to an X post carrying the same video, shared by user '@PhantomRiderxX' on 16 February as a recording of an earthquake.
In a separate post, the user shared it with the hashtag '#Islamabad'.
While we could not independently verify the location where the video was shot, it is evident that it predates the earthquake in Delhi-NCR.
A 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck parts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi in Pakistan on 15 February, Geo TV and Express Tribune reported. There were no casualties or damage to property.
Conclusion: Both videos are unrelated to the recent earthquake in Delhi.
