Fact :The claim that Garuda has appeared in Ayodhya is false. The viral video shows vultures from various locations and contexts and has been circulating online for years. A viral video shows vultures from various locations and contexts, and has been circulating with a claim that that people in Ayodhya are trembling with fear due to the supposed presence of Garuda, a mythical bird associated with Lord Vishnu. Fact Check: The claim is false. Through a reverse search of key frames from the viral video, we identified a video uploaded on YouTube on May 4, 2021, by Mighty Greens titled "A rare video of Andean Condor." Further investigation revealed a second YouTube video posted on April 8, 2023, by Guddu Maurya Sarp Mitra, titled "पहली बार मिला बहुत बड़ा जटायू A third image in the viral video led us to an article published on the National Geographic website on November 22, 2019, titled "'This is a full-blown crisis': Fighting vulture poisoning in Kenya." The article describes efforts to save vultures poisoned by feeding on the carcass of a hyena killed with pesticides. Another video featured in the viral clip, uploaded by YouTube user MCVlogMercy James on October 23, 2020, documents a vulture sighting in the Sadayamangalam forest in Kerala. Telugu post check, the Telugu Post fact-checking team, has already debunked the claim of one viral clip in the viral video, confirming that the video dates back to 2021 and has no connection to the Ramayana or the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Therefore, the claim that Garuda has appeared in Ayodhya is demonstrably false. The viral video shows vultures from various locations and contexts, and has been circulating online for years.
