New Delhi (Vishvas News): A picture of children studying in mud is going viral on social media. It is being claimed that this is a photo of a government school in Uttar Pradesh. This claim turned out to be false in the investigation of Vishvas News. This picture is from a government school in Pakistan. For the past several years, this picture has gone viral with different claims on the internet.

Facebook user ‘Aarti Singh’ shared this post, The description read, ‘This is the condition of government schools in a country which has a statue of 3200 crores. Look at this picture who has humanity in their heart, and now tell me, what is important school or a statue of 3200 crores.#ShamefulUttar Pradesh.’

Investigation:
We searched the viral picture with the help of Google reverse image search. We found this picture on many social media handles. Oldest photo was uploaded in 2015. Pakistani Twitter handle SKY KINGS uploaded this picture on its account on 10 January 2015.
We further searched about the picture and found a report related to the viral picture on Pakistani news website Siasat.pk. It was published on 0 June 2015. According to the information, the viral picture is from Punjab, Pakistan. Read the full report here.
For more information Vishwas News contacted BJP, UP Spokesperson Avneesh Tyagi. We shared the viral post with him. He told us that the viral post is completely fake. This picture is not related to the Uttar Pradesh, this is a picture belonging to Pakistan school.
Vishvas News, in the last phase of the investigation, conducted a background check on the profile that shared the viral post. We found that the user lives in Lucknow, UP. He is followed by more than 16 thousand people on his account.
